How does the whole delivery and pick-up work? I don’t want people removing the photobooth mid-reception!?

We are fully aware of this and that is why all our booths are fitted with internal timers. We will liaise with the venue and make sure the booth is set up well before your reception (or ceremony – depending on your requirements) and generally we will pick up the booth after guests have left or the next day (varies from venue to venue).


Do I need an attendant?

Why would you want a complete stranger at your party?! Our booths are built sturdy and tough to take on the meanest of crowds (like the MTV Awards in Sydney!!) and the operation is very simple…even kids at kids parties haven’t had any problems!


How do we operate the photo booth once it’s at the venue?

The booth will be set-up ready to go…all you and your guests have to do is get in push a button and let the friendly voice instructions guide you through the rest. It is very simple and even the tipsiest of guests will get it!


What is the double-print feature?

When a guest enters the photobooth and takes the four photos (to make up the strip) they will receive 2 identical strips dispensed separately (don’t need scissors like other companies). One strip can be placed into the photo-strip album and the other can be kept by the guest, ensuring that your guests have a momento of the night to keep.


What is the “ready to mount” dry-mount photo-album included in some of the packages?

The idea stemmed from the traditional wedding guest-book. Guest-books at weddings are very formal and don’t allow guests to creatively express themselves. Guests want to leave their mark at a wedding!! We have developed an album that will accommodate a photo-strip along with a message and signature instead of just a plain old signature. Every page is fitted with double sided tape tabs and is protected by rice paper – and along with this you also receive a gold and silver pen so your guests can leave you a message to accompany the photostrip. We have found that the silver and gold looks fantastic on black paper and will really accentuate the photo-strip next to it. Our wedding packages includes unlimited DOUBLE PRINT photo-strips, which means that one strip can go into the album and the other the guest can keep… a WIN-WIN situation!


What is the “ready to hang” canvas print included in some of the packages?

This is designed so that the bride and groom take a series of strips together and pick their favourite to be developed onto canvas, which is printed at 400% the original size. The bride or groom then pick their favourite photo-strip to be used for the canvas from the CD delivered post event.  It is a great way to have a continuous reminder of your fantastic night!


How many strips does the photostrip album take?

The photostrip album has 40 black drymount pages (with double sided tape tabs), which means there is 80 pages of available space. We find that this is enough for approximately 100-120 guests, as a majority of guests will couple up to leave their mark in your album. If you have more guests then you may want to choose our album upgrade which essentially is a larger album that fits 160 photo-strip/message spots.


Will the photos fade?

No. The photos will not fade and will last up to 100 years. Also, there’s no ink to dry or smudge. They won’t show a fingerprint and are even water resistant. Being digital, the photobooth is 100% chemical-free, unlike old-fashioned photobooths.


How much time does it take to print a photo strip?

A 4-frame photo strip prints in 10 seconds – the fastest vend in the industry world wide.


How does the photobooth work?

You and your friends get into the booth, press the button – follow the voice instructions and pose for four pictures. There is a LCD screen inside the booth so you can make sure your head is in frame. You get out of the booth and in 10 seconds you can collect your photo-strip outside the booth. It’s as easy as that!


What’s the unique logo option for?

Unique to Flashback Photobooths, the Logo option allows you to add your logo, special event announcement, or promotional image/message to every photo-strip. It is generally a big hit with corporate functions, because the company logo and/or message can be added in the last frame of every photo-strip (but can also be very effective for birthdays and weddings…depending on what your preferences are!). The hirer just needs to send in the logo meeting a set of certain requirements via email, and we will program it into the photobooth. Please note that you will lose the last frame out of four for the logo.


How far in advance should we reserve a Flashback Photobooth?

We book up quickly, especially during the Christmas season, so in order to avoid any disappointment, the more notice the better. An initial transferable non-refundable deposit of $220 secures your date and is included in the final payment.


How long is the standard rental?

Most of our packages include unlimited photo-strips for 3 or 5 hours. We feel that these are the most common durations for most functions whether it be a wedding or corporate function. Of course we are flexible and can tailor a package to suit your specific needs – just contact us and we will more than happy to provide a quote.


Can I bring my own album and pen?

Sure! Just keep in mind that you probably have more important things to worry about for your special occasion than finding the right sized album to fit the photo-strips and sticking double sided tape on every page! We have searched extensively for the PERFECT album that will suit any occasion and it will not distort when loaded with photo-strips.


You mention thank you cards in your “optional extras” – what are these?

Please contact us to discuss this feature. We have devised the perfect wedding thankyou card that is up to 50% cheaper than any other wedding thankyou cards out there! Yes it involves a photo-strip… and yes it is a very unique idea!


What kind of camera is used in the Flashback Photobooth?

The Photo booth uses a custom lens assembly designed by Polaroid exclusively for our Photo booths.


How much does it cost to hire a Flashback Photobooth?

How do I pay for the hire of a Flashback Photobooth?

There are three main forms of payment accepted by Flashback Photobooths:

  • Direct Deposit into nominated bank account
  • Cash
  • Bank cheque
  • Personal cheque (must allow 7 working days to clear).

Do guests pay as they enter?

No! With the simple press of a button your guests will have a ball taking unlimited photo-strips all night.


What if I want more than one copy of the same photo? Can I get copies of ALL the photos from my event?

You will receive a USB or CD of all photo-strips taken on the night. Unlike the photobooths of old where there is only one original print, the photos can be distributed as a computer file to friends and family, or even upload directly to Facebook for all to see!
